checking in.

That awkward moment when you have to eat crow. That's right... this post is a public confession of sorts. You see, almost two weeks ago I wrote a post outlining my pregnancy goals. In that post, I talked about how I'm NOT having all day morning sickness and I quote, "things are going smooth in the symptoms department".

Yeah... spoke to soon.

Not only do I have spurts of morning sickness sprinkled throughout my day, my mind seems to always go blank whenever I try to think of something to write about {hence the almost two week absence}. I've been trying to take it easy as much as possible, but I do want you all to know that I've missed you and I've missed blogging. I'm really hoping the morning sickness will go away once my second trimester starts, like it did with Little Man, so that I can come back full-force.

Until then, I'm going to enjoy this slower pace of life and soak up time with my family. I will blog as often as I'm able to, but I'm also not going to pressure myself into posting regularly. Not yet, anyway. You understand, right?

What about you? How have you been these past two weeks?

God Bless,

  2. We understand! We're women! :)

When I was pregnant with Quinn and before I had even announced it, I took the entire month of August completely off. Not a word out of me during that month! The first trimester is just so exhausting! You deserve to take a slower pace. Sending happy thoughts to you and baby!

    1. It is definitely exhausting! So glad I'm almost out of the first trimester "woods". Beginning of the year marks my transition into the second trimester. Yippee!
